Suicide Prevention Day

Updated: Sep 19

To everyone reading this, I want you to know that your life matters. As Mr. Gay Europe, I’ve met incredible people across our community, and I’ve seen firsthand the strength and resilience we all possess. But I also know that sometimes, the weight of the world can feel too heavy to bear.

If you’re struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or thinking that you can’t go on, please hear this: You are not alone. Reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. There are people who care deeply about you, who want to listen and support you through whatever you’re going through.

It’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to ask for help. Whether it’s a friend, a family member, a counselor, or a helpline, there are many who want to walk with you on this journey. If you are seeking help, reach out to BeFrienders.org - they offer confidential support to those in distress worldwide. Below you will also find national suicide prevention organisations.

Your life is a light in this world, and your story is far from over. Together, we can break the silence around mental health and lift each other up. Remember, the darkest nights often lead to the brightest mornings. Keep holding on.

With love and solidarity,

Tim Küsters
